Happy Mothers' Day!

TGIF! I am really looking forward to Fridays and weekends this sem. The days that i can forget everything that's going for awhile. The days i'd spent having good foods to destress.

So, last Friday i requested for early dismissal because i wanted to go this cafe at PJ called Mojo Nail Cafe at SS2/24. We were late for like two hours due our appointment time because we couldn't find the place. Because i was wearing pink. Lol. We actually passed by the shoplot for uncountable times already and we didn't realise that's the cafe. Why made your shop name looks so artistic? Bad for bad eyesight people like us! Kw said we took all the trouble to come, they better serve good food. It turned out to be a hugeee disappointment! The food suck badly. Terrible. They look totally different from the picture on Groupon. And they cheated my creme brulee.

Iced cappuccino and hot mocha. More like 3 in 1 instant coffee! Which is super diluted. Need to add RM1 for iced drink somemore.

High tea set.

(Vegetarian) spaghetti bolognese, salad, instant waffle, cheesecake from pasar malam.

(Ikea) Danish cookies, ham sandwich and strawberry.

Premix muffin, marshmallow and 1/100 cup of chocolate sauce.

Lighting was good though.

Potted ice-cream | Nestle Napoleon ice-cream topped with crushed Marie biscuit

Silly pose. Haha.

He shocked me by saying he wanna get a shot too. Maybe it's because of the time we wasted searching for this cafe.

Saturday makan date with Sok Man and Sim. So happy! I laughed till my cheek and mouth ached. We went Donutes, RT Pastry and food and beverage expo at Midvalley. Wanted to have Nana's for dinner but the queue was too long and Sok Man was too hungry to wait. So we had Shihlin instead. Guess i stuffed myself with too much food. Feeling pretty bad and nausea after dinner till the next morning. The feeling after i had that platter of fried at Manhattan Fish Market two years back!

Teriyaki mochi | onion cheese stick | smoked chicken popiah (curry stick which tasted the best is not in the picture)

Tiramisu. I think their tiramisu is not as good as those i've tried elsewhere.

Oaf.

Green tea mousse | red bean cream

Red bean cream roll from RT Pastry. Didn't get to try it cause i was feeling really nausea but sis said it's crunchy on the outside, creamy in the inside! Ahhhhhh.

Happy! rice set for them.

Mee sua for me. The oysters omg, stinking! Forced myself to have two because they contains zinc and iron!

Bought this super cute metal dustbin from Daiso. I must buy this when i first laid my eyes on it.

Celebrated Mothers' Day last night with a simple but satisfying dinner and a chocolate mousse cake. The same cake again cause dad is so used to buying the same cake for all special occasions once he tried a nice one. Not gonna change till he discovers another nicer one. But but i think it's time to search for another one!

Grandma and mum :)

Super thin chocolate sauce coating, used cream in place of chocolate ganache and the cake is so thin itself and not fine. I doubted it's 1 kg.

Present from bro and card by sis. Bro had been going on and on about the present he bought but forgot to give mum. It turned out to be this and left all of us speechless. He said it's the cheapest that he can find in the gift shop. I can still laugh whenever i think of this.

A day before the day

The day before the day i started my catering posting at Kajang Hospital.
Family and i went Publika to dine at Morganfield's. I like Pavillion's branch more. Missed the apple pie the manager there treated me long time ago.

Cracked my fortune cookie and look, i got this. So applicable on me at that time.

The everything platter. I personally think that the chicken is too dry, the taco too oily. The best is still the ribs. The beer battered fried fish was fine too.

The Aloha burger.

I forgot when exactly was the time i went Padi House but here are the pictures.

Mascarpone layer | orange and green apple juice | chocolate oreo ice-blended
Thumbs up for the the cake and juice.

Chicken chop rice. The gravy on the chicken, yums!

My belated Valentine's gift from kw. Love big watches :D

Super short post cause i have to continue with my thesis proposal now. Yes, proposal again. Changed thesis for the third time. The first time in history this thing happens to me. Everytime we made corrections we thought nothing could go wrong again. We are wrong all the time. So many obstacles along the way. We must always expect the unexpected!

Cinnamon and green tea

Clearing another item in The List.
Caffe bene! I've longing to go there. Cinnamon and green tea, both my favourites!

We got lost again. Haha. We were too dependent on my Papago and guess what, we set the wrong destination. Hahahaha. Nicompoops! Frustrations filled the whole car. Maybe cause i was wearing red pants. There's this fortune teller at the market who claimed that he's learning about the universe, who sold me my lazuli bracelet told me that i'm lacking the water element and having too much of fire in me. So i'm wearing this blue lazuli bracelet. Blue signifies water. Then one morning i went and requested him to help kw to find out too. His birthdate and birthtime showed that he too is lacking in the element of water (blue) terribly. Lacking in earth (green) and gold (yellow, brown) elements too. Too much fire TOO! He asked me to try dying my hair red, wear red from head to toe and go out with kw who does the same too and we will end up in a huge fight or something bad (eg. accidents) will happen. Call me superstitious. Remember the last post when we took three hours to Publika? I was wearing red too!

Thank goodness kw is so so patient and tolerating. We had a great time shopping (mostly me). Caffe bene was so crowded. We had to queue to make orders and to get a place to sit. I went Sunway again last Friday and it was even more crowded and the prices of bingsu increased by RM2 already?! Why so fast!? Still plan to go back for the Strawberry bingsu and garlic cheese honey bread :( I'll still keep my promise though. Promised to treat kw these two during our next visit. Hehe. And i realised that our list is not getting any shorter (but it's definitely getting longer cause i discover new makan place all the time!) cause we are always planning to visit another time to try different dishes.

Cinnamon caramel bread. I love cinnamon in desserts and this is absolute yum! The whipped on top tasted so buttery and different.

Green tea tower bingsu. The green tea taste is too mild. But i love the assorted nuts inside :)

*happy*

I want him to try Tai Lei Loi Kei pork chop no matter what. It's very tasty. The pork chop is so tender, juicy and flavourful. I recommended the polo bun/lou song set but he wanted rice. So cina :p

Pork chop with rice and egg and Macau milk tea. The milk tea was nice too. Not too sweet with a hint of bitterness.

Because this is also from Korea. Haha. Melon milk soda. Tasted like ice-cream soda. So sweet! *dislike*

Magnum Gold! Very sweet in a good way. Haha. I love how the crust doesn't melt too quickly. I can still feel the crunchiness of the crust till the last bite.

30% off!

This post is dedicated to the 30% off for dim sum and ala carte dishes promotion in the month of April at Dynasty Dragon Seafood Restaurant for all card holders. I thought i'll blog about this in April but opps seems like it's too late now. Haha. I applied for the card on the spot. Mum too. Dad got one before this already.

Breakfast with family makes me happy :)

Har gao.

Pumpkin har gao. More expensive but tasted weird.

Lao sha bao. Always my favourite. Must-have!

Fatday

The day which i consumed more than 5000 kcal. Breakfast, double lunch, dinner and supper.
I am always browsing through food pictures on instagram, Facebook, blogs and etc. and i am always showing kw the pictures i saw and told him that i wanna try them too. Initially due to our busy schedules, i didn't think we would actually try them. Showing and telling was fun too. My sentence to him would always be, "Let's try this next time." He always agrees. But because he's so forgetful, he often forgets too. So, he asked me to make a list. "The List". For the past weeks, we've been clearing items on The List.

This week it was The Red Beanbag at Publika. Remember the post about Vday this year? (probably not) We went Namoo On the Park for vday celebration. We wanted to go to The Red Beanbag at first but we wouldn't find it and we were ravenous. Since I've been wanting to try Namoo since ages ago too, we settled for Namoo. Aha! Found it while we were strolling around after lunch. The foods were pretty good and i was feeling proud for the good recommendation. Kw said he's gonna try the other dishes the next time. Groceries shopping (I love groceries shopping so much!) at Ben's Independent Groceries after that. So much to see, so fun. I think we had gone crazy from overeating that day. I offered to treat kw Salon du Chocolat too!

The Atlantic.
House smoked salmon served with salmon pearls, wilted Australian baby spinach, sauteed mushrooms & fluffy French toast, drizzled with hollandaise sauce and served with two poached eggs.
Kw said it was gross when it got cold. But i love runny eggs too much to realise that.

Signature Baked Eggs.
Two eggs cracked in a bowl of lamb, chicken and beef bratwurst topped with mozzarella cheese & toast.
This is so so good.

Peanut butter and fudge ice-cream. The taste of fudge was too overpowering, i couldn't taste the peanut butter.
Kw ordered this once the waiter came and clear my side of the table. I was like "What!? I'm stuffed. WHY did you order it?" O_O

Latte.

White cream pasta, kimchi and drink.
Shared this while waiting for our number to be called at The Red Beanbag.

Honeydew ice-cream stick. Finally found this in Malaysia. He said he missed it so much since the last time he tried it in Seoul.

Tiny crabs snack in B.I.G.

I swear i was not going to eat anymore for the day but cousin bought back this delicious looking chicken wings from Sri Rampai. Sri Rampai famous chicken wings T_T

We took 3 hours to reach Publika. It would've easily been a less than an hour journey. This is how bad we are with directions.

Blessed

I thought i would blog about the community service programme my group just conducted last Wednesday but then now i am thinking that can wait since there's another one to go and i shall blog about both of them together. Plus, i took a lot of pictures and the internet speed at home is slower than ever. Slow internet speed makes me frustrated and i wanna blog with a happy heart.

Last Thursday was my very first outing with bf and his family. I thought it would be awkward (I am not a sociable person). It was awkward at first but then all went well as the day went on. It was not so awkward. It was okay. I was relieved (I am quite scared of his dad. And elder sister. But the elder sis was at Penang. Ha!) The little brother stayed at home so it's just the five of us. We went to Ikea to search for some deco/furnitures for their new home. They are moving. The crowd was crazy. The road was so jammed with cars. The mum got some pots and fake potted plants. The dad complained that those fake plants costed him more than a hundred ringgit, in a joking way of course.

Had yu tao mai at Taman Desa for lunch. Ah my favourite! His mum's too. We have the same favourite foods. Yu tao mai and peanut associated kuih. I wish i eat beef. I think i am partially forbidden to eat beef cause dad eats it outside but not at home. I do not eat it because i can't help imagining a cow when i see beef. And the meat is dark. It's not like chicken and fish. It's darker so it's not so normal. Sounded autistic. Haha. I wish i eat beef because Ikea is so famous for it's Swedish meatballs. We didn't have it though cause the queue was crazy. Bought a dozen of currypuffs, half a dozen for me to bring home for mum, his mum said. And we had soft ice-cream which costed us 80 cents a cone. So cheap. It's self service ice-cream machine. We paid for the token to be inserted into the machine, put your cone into the hole and taadaa a cone of vanilla ice-cream is in front of us. I even recorded a video of the process. I want a machine like that too.

If you can see the handbag the sister is holding. Bf keep teasing her that it looks like a letterbox. Hello, it's Furla okay. Felt that they look so cute when i first saw then. I was even there during the launching.

Shopped at Ikano after that. Crazy sale going on in Padini Concept Store. Bf and the sister were shopping for clothes and the mum kept asking me to find and try on some too. Aunty buys for you, she said. I insisted that i don't want any and made myself look busy by shopping around looking for clothes for kokwai. I was thinking, it's not right for you to buy something for me besides foods of course. I had to keep making myself look busy. I spotted some nice dresses and blouses though while i was looking around for kw's. Hahaha. The sis wanted to buy shoes from Crocs after that. The dad was feeling impatient. Kw and i were standing outside of the shop guarding our trolley of goods while the trio went in to choose. We were chatting about how lucky kw didn't buy the Padini coat he yearned for last time since it's halved the price during the sale today. Half of RM399.90. Then the dad called me in to choose a pair of Crocs. 51% off for the second pair because it was Labours' Day. I said i didn't want a pair but he asked to choose a pair because it's 51% off. Uncle buys for you, he said. That sentence again. I stood there didn't know what to do. So, the dad asked kw in to choose for me. And this superstitious guy was in dilemma. He told the dad that he's not going to buy me shoes till we got married. Myth says that by giving your girlfriend, she will ditch you.

Had Korean cuisine for dinner.

My tofu and mushroom stew. I wanted something to warm my stomach. Normally i would go for kimchi fried rice but not today.

Kw's chicken dish.

The sis and mum shared a plate of kimchi fried rice. I tasted a little and it was good. Didn't try the dad's ginseng chicken stew but i heard that it's nice too. All the dishes were delicious. Guess there'll be a second visit. The restaurant is called Oiso by the way. I braced myself to request for the pictures of food to be taken even when the family was around and it was my first outing with them. Gosh. Of course i didn't dare to shoot any dish on the table besides kw's and mine. I was so embarassed when the mum and sis quickly moved out of the way when i was about to shoot. Kw must  have talk bad about me to his mum though he denied. The kimchi fried rice looked so good in appearance and i was suppressing my urge. Ahhh tough!

I am the one who buys for her with my money so fret not, his dad said. I was still stunned that i just chose whatever that's in front of my eyes.

Yesterday, outing with Jia Wern and Sok Man. My very first outing with Sok Man. She met my mum, aunty and grandma for the very first time too and yet they were chatting and laughing like they had known each other forever. She made me laughed so hard. To me, her life is so dramatic. Married to a husband from China, managing a business of hong zhao, muk er and pu tao gan. I love her personality so much. Our plan was to go cafe hopping. First stop was Cultura at Bangsar. Loving the deco there. Life becomes so slow paced when i was inside the cafe. Then we went shopping at Sunway Pyramid and had coffee and scone at Coffea Coffee. I bought a shirt for kw, pens for dad and books for myself. Everyone bought something, everyone was happy. Best of all, I enjoyed myself so much yesterday for the great companions i had. We shall do this again :)

Love it!

Vintage lover i am.

The foods look so good on the table.

Green tea latte | creme brulee latter | passion fruit juice | miniature chocolate whirl | miniature apple strudel | pineapple danish

Toasty. We tried tuna, ham & cheese and black pepper chicken. Love all of them especially tuna. The bread was crunchy through and through.

Scone with fresh cream and strawberry jam | orange chocolate latte
So rich that latte! Sorry Sok Man i excluded your mango smoothie.

Finally i got the pens for dad and they looked so pretty! So happy~

I should seriously consider getting a new bookshelf rather than new books (I want more bookss)!

We have to change our thesis title again.
For the third time.
So fed up that i am not motivated to do anything anymore besides enjoying life.
Who cares what grade i'll get. Damn.
