Togetherness

I love holidays!
I've grown to love holidays more and more as I aged. Couldn't imagine how working life will be without holidays here and then. I might even be working on public holidays.

But you know what, i'll worry about that when time comes.
Thinking of the uncertain future makes you stress. I am so stressed up all the time because that's exactly what i do most of the time. Never have the chance to live up to the moment and thus, zero enjoyment (except when i am eating of course). Haha.

This sembreak is all about preparing for Chinese New Year. Yet another favourite festival of mine. You'll probably be thinking cause of the abundance of delicacies, yes, you're partially right. I loveeee love family reunion and gathering with friends as well. It's almost impossible to find a time which suits everyone's schedules now. Some might even be 2637489403940394 kilometres away. I learn to treasure the time where I can spend with my loved ones no matter how brief they are.

Last Saturday, sis and I went chocolate shopping for cny at Beryl's :D We do this every year since i don't know when. Aunt will bring us there and we will shop for chocolates and trying out new flavours if there's any.

New! The mint is not bad. We had it by stacking two together :D

That evening, bf brought me this bakery and cafe called Donutes at Puchong. As promised :) Dad and aunt had been there and I got positive feedback from them too. Donutes serves Taiwanese styled confectioneries. Dimmed lighting, nice ambiance. Haha. Frankly, the cakes were so so but the breads were better.

When i was having study week and finals, he was on holidays and now when i'm having sembreak, he's busy rushing for assignments and fyp :( The timing is just wrong. Meeting each other once a week is considered pretty good already. But what to do, this is life. I'm feeling grateful for the time we could spend together :)

The bread section.

My uji matcha. Green tea mousse and chocolate cake.

Creamy chocolate. To be honest, Secret Recipe's cakes are nicer and cheaper too. Haha.

Brioche (got walnuts and it's really nice), matcha bread with custard and red bean filling topped with lots of pumpkin seeds (i like) and lemon cake (looks exactly like a lemon, tasted good too).

Orange chestnuts and cereal bread. These were heavy and dense. Couldn't resist myself from getting them before heading home. They look so chewy and soft!

My hot mixed berries tea (smelled and tasted good) and his caramel latte smoothie (couldn't taste the caramel).

Thank you for bringing me :)

Love the top two pictures! :D

Sunday shopping day with family. Our initial destination was Midvalley buttt we had bad feelings when the traffic was congested all the way to Midvalley. The parking were full within an hour of operation. So crazy! Went Times Square and then Sungei Wang and Lot 10 instead. Wanted to go Pavillion too but we were just too tired to walk anymore. Everyone bought something and we got two cameras too :D

Mum and dad with the golden horse.

Camera testing.

Just because it looked pretty.

Bought a charm bracelet for little sister. Hope she's here shopping with us too.

Major room cleaning for cny. This is an annual event, that's why it always takes us forever. Hahaha. Worked from 12pm to 2am (three hours break in between). Our room is so clean and fragrant now. Wahaha!

Look! A king-sized bed of books!

There's still space for 22 more books! Wanna fill them up with my haul from the next BBW! x)

Soybean ice-cream date

Finally i had an outing during this break with Sim.
(Too bad Grace has to work) but i doubted she'd enjoyed the day too cause we did quite some shopping.
Bought two shorts and one shirt. They were on sale :D Well, let me rephrase, one of the shorts was on sale. Anyway, i am happy with what i got. Even happier with the catching-up session :)
Late lunch at Pasta Zanmai. Shopped a little while longer after that before we had our soybean ice-cream (she promised to have that with me) and head home.

Teriyaki chicken garlic omu rice. Omu meas omelette i supposed.

Mini seafood tomato pasta.

Original flavour soybean ice-cream in a cup!
According to Sim, they don't make this all the time. Guess i am lucky today. Or ice-cream and i have some sort of fate? :D

New dimsum place

Had dimsum for brunch with the family. When was the last time we did this together. I couldn't even recall. But surely it was more than half a year ago. Trying out a new dimsum place at C180. Dynasty Dragon Seafood Restaurant at Cheras Selatan. Mum tried it out with friends and recommended dad to bring us there. We even had wat dan hor for breakfast with dimsum cause mum said it's not bad -.- Honestly, i still prefer Jin Xuan or Hee Lai Ton. Or maybe i was just not craving for dimsum today.

Makan time.

Xiu long bao~ juicy~

A little bit of vinegar and ginger strips, that's the way to eat it.

Of course we must have this. Orange skin. And the skin is too soft for my liking.

From Padi House. A lot of nuts but still for a cheesecake this small, too expensive lah.
Buttt, hmm..sedappp~

Little brother turned 17!

Father, mother, sisters, brother finally reunited :D
We are one big family~
Fetched sis at the airport last evening and had dinner at the bak kut teh restaurant mum and dad used to date when they were young.
Celebrated brother's birthday later that day.
The youngest in the family turned 17 this year.

Happy 17th birthday!

Mother and son.

Family portrait *excuse my leg lol*

With grandma :)

Chocolate mousse cake from Black Forest. Bought this for mum's birthday and we all loved it. So dad bought it again so that sis can try it too. It has always been this way. Once we tasted a nice cake, dad will just buy that flavour for all birthdays until we discover another nice one. Lol.

Dinner with buddies

Finals is finally over! You can never imagine how relieved i am now. Stress-less.
No one will understand how stress i was this sem. Because second year was quite easy comparatively, i was really suffering during the third year. A lot of crying myself to bed nights. Now that everything is over (well, at least for now) i am so happy~ Heehee!

Last day of exam, once the paper was over, went to pass up my website assignment and off i went for shopping :D Shopping alone was lonely but not a bad experience. I was supposed to have dinner with my buddies that day too. Bumped into them while shopping and we headed to our dinner place together after that. Watched lion dance at the entrance of Pavillion. I was sweating cold sweat cause one the lion fell :O Saw Ah Beng and the gang. Ahhh, his hair was in the blue i love the most :D

Dinner at Fish & Co. First try. Love the interior design but not the food. Nevertheless, we had a great time chatting and trying out each other's dishes :) Ohhh and also taking pictures with the fishbone so that our face will look smaller. Hahaha. Shopped together for a while longer after that before heading back. Running all the way back cause i was scare. Hahaha. Scare people will rob me. Lololol.

Magazine looking menu. How cool!

Loving the interior design there and the fish bone too :D

My prawn fettucini in chilli cream sauce. The prawns weren't that fresh. And they were quite tasteless.

Chicken and mushroom spaghetti. Mushrooms in every bite but the sauce was very bland.

Coriander catch with seasonal vege and rice. The fish was not bad.

But we don't think we're hooked..

Lion dance that made me sweat. Cold sweat! Felt so gan cheong for them >.<

My lovely zodiac sign. Mehhhh~ x)

Spot this super cool eyeball ring at H&M.
