Togetherness

I love holidays!
I've grown to love holidays more and more as I aged. Couldn't imagine how working life will be without holidays here and then. I might even be working on public holidays.

But you know what, i'll worry about that when time comes.
Thinking of the uncertain future makes you stress. I am so stressed up all the time because that's exactly what i do most of the time. Never have the chance to live up to the moment and thus, zero enjoyment (except when i am eating of course). Haha.

This sembreak is all about preparing for Chinese New Year. Yet another favourite festival of mine. You'll probably be thinking cause of the abundance of delicacies, yes, you're partially right. I loveeee love family reunion and gathering with friends as well. It's almost impossible to find a time which suits everyone's schedules now. Some might even be 2637489403940394 kilometres away. I learn to treasure the time where I can spend with my loved ones no matter how brief they are.

Last Saturday, sis and I went chocolate shopping for cny at Beryl's :D We do this every year since i don't know when. Aunt will bring us there and we will shop for chocolates and trying out new flavours if there's any.

New! The mint is not bad. We had it by stacking two together :D

That evening, bf brought me this bakery and cafe called Donutes at Puchong. As promised :) Dad and aunt had been there and I got positive feedback from them too. Donutes serves Taiwanese styled confectioneries. Dimmed lighting, nice ambiance. Haha. Frankly, the cakes were so so but the breads were better.

When i was having study week and finals, he was on holidays and now when i'm having sembreak, he's busy rushing for assignments and fyp :( The timing is just wrong. Meeting each other once a week is considered pretty good already. But what to do, this is life. I'm feeling grateful for the time we could spend together :)

The bread section.

My uji matcha. Green tea mousse and chocolate cake.

Creamy chocolate. To be honest, Secret Recipe's cakes are nicer and cheaper too. Haha.

Brioche (got walnuts and it's really nice), matcha bread with custard and red bean filling topped with lots of pumpkin seeds (i like) and lemon cake (looks exactly like a lemon, tasted good too).

Orange chestnuts and cereal bread. These were heavy and dense. Couldn't resist myself from getting them before heading home. They look so chewy and soft!

My hot mixed berries tea (smelled and tasted good) and his caramel latte smoothie (couldn't taste the caramel).

Thank you for bringing me :)

Love the top two pictures! :D

Sunday shopping day with family. Our initial destination was Midvalley buttt we had bad feelings when the traffic was congested all the way to Midvalley. The parking were full within an hour of operation. So crazy! Went Times Square and then Sungei Wang and Lot 10 instead. Wanted to go Pavillion too but we were just too tired to walk anymore. Everyone bought something and we got two cameras too :D

Mum and dad with the golden horse.

Camera testing.

Just because it looked pretty.

Bought a charm bracelet for little sister. Hope she's here shopping with us too.

Major room cleaning for cny. This is an annual event, that's why it always takes us forever. Hahaha. Worked from 12pm to 2am (three hours break in between). Our room is so clean and fragrant now. Wahaha!

Look! A king-sized bed of books!

There's still space for 22 more books! Wanna fill them up with my haul from the next BBW! x)
