Tzu Chi Great Love Charity Fair

Happy 55th Independence Day to Malaysia! I am tied to family when i am supposed to enjoy myself more on this. It's a public holiday you know. Although i am already on holidays now. I have plans but i am not allowed not to go to this charity fair with them. Basically, this charity fair aims to raise fund for some new building they attempted to build. That's forcing =/ Dad bought RM100 worth of coupons from aunt for charity. The coupons can be used to buy stuffs in this fair.  There were booths and stalls selling all kinds of stuff. Bags, foods, drinks, towels, tupperware and so on. We didn't really wander around. We made a beeline to the school canteen for foods. Oh, there were massaging booth, chinese calligraphy booth and booth for games too. Basically we were just gonna spend them on food. Fyi, the foods are all vegetarians. Burgers, noodles, laksa, spaghetti, fried rice, kuih-muih, cakes, tarts, ice-cream, crackers, cookies, you name it. And it was so crowded with people and it made movements so difficult! I hate the crowds! But i've been ordered around to buy foods -.- And the foods were not nice also. Just ate a bit of this and that. But since it's for charity, so it's fine. I'll accept it. Amithaba~

The coupons.

No plastic bags.

Look at the crowd. Just a part of it.

A hakka dish called 算盘子. RM10. Tried this for the very first time although i am a hakka yin. Like it ;)

Carbonara spaghetti. RM10 with drinks.

Vegetarian chicken and char siew rice. RM8.

Nasi lemak with vegetarian rendang chicken. RM10.

Kuih-muih. RM5. I like the white with purple and orange patches one.

Ice-cream. RM2.

Bread sushi. RM10.

Pumpkin kuih. RM5.

Fruit tartlets. RM8.

Mum's favourite lei cha. RM12.

They have ais kacang too!

One of the many booths there.

I find pleasures in good foods.
That's why i want you to try what i think it's nice.
I am happy to do so.
Cause i'd like to share with you my happiness.
You too, again and again said you want me to try what you think it's nice.
But in my vivid memories, you never once did.
Every now and then when you promise me something,
i'll be thinking, don't say that if you don't mean it.
If you don't understand my silence, how do you understand my words?
If you think that even these little things don't matter, what does?
#just picking an instance.

Crying to myself in silence.
Why do i always have to do this?
You tell me why!

Possession on Hungry Ghost Festival!

Dating with aunts and sis at The Mines, my second home -.- Watched Possession on Hungry Ghost Festival! O_o Sis's last movie before going off to Sabah. Had McD ice-cream before movie and shopped for a while after that. Planned to go pasar malam but it was drizzling! Spoiler! So just cheesy wedges for sis.

Possession.

Directed by: Ole Bornedal
Written by: Leslie Gornstein
Starring: Natasha Calis, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Kyra Sedgwick

Movie info: Based on a true story, The Possession is the terrifying account of how one family must unite in order to survive the wrath of an unspeakable evil. Clyde (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Stephanie Brenek (Kyra Sedgwick) see little cause for alarm when their youngest daughter Em becomes oddly obsessed with an antique wooden box she purchased at a yard sale. But as Em's behavior becomes increasingly erratic, the couple fears the presence of a malevolent force in their midst, only to discover that the box was built to contain a dibbuk, a dislocated spirit that inhabits and ultimately devours its human host.

My rating: 2/5
Comment: It's a thriller but i wasn't thrilled -.- It was just violent but they edited most of the parts which they think were overly violent for view though. And there were actually some scenes which evoked laughter from the audience throughout the movie. It's also kind of funny how MRI scan is able to visual the demon in the body -.- I expected it to be much scarier than it actually is. The ending was kinda dull too.

This is the wooden box.

Flossy big label @ Bread Story. Crunchy cheesy crust with soft interior layered with slightly spicy chicken floss and savory sausages, it's yummy!

There's always room for cheesy wedges.

Grace showed up finally!

Outing with Grace and Sim finally! Hehe. Haven't been seeing Grace for ages already. Went Mines by ktm for the first time. The train didn't reach straight in the building or anywhere near it. Need to do a little bit of walking. We went through the Art of the craft tunnel so not need to cross roads yay! Lol. There's nothing much to shop at Mines. The reasons that we were there cause it's near and i wanna get something from Daiso so i ffk Mr. Bra. Lols. Just a merely ten minutes away from Kajang by ktm and yes, i like Daiso very much. So much to see. Seriously there's nothing else to do there besides that -.- We were so bored. No nice movie to watch also. So we just walked around and tunggu masa makan saja la. Makan banyak ais oh! And of course my favourite crunchy waffle at Wafflehour. Sim and Grace had chocolate with cappucino. Nice kah? Haha. I had peanut with cappucino like usual. Not that sweet as compared to peanut with chocolate. Worth a try. Ohh! I want to try sizzling pan yee mee at Yum! Kopi and peanut butter toast at Toast box! I need to resist myself from going Subway next time. The lunch set at Yum! Kopi is so cheap. RM6.90 for the food and drink. I was craving for sizzling pan yee mee but i don't know why i didn't go and eat it today T.T Maybe i wanna try Tong Pak Fu's snow ice more. Grrr! Firstly we had Mango Romance at Hui Lau Shan which is terribly small in portion and not that special also.. And i dislike the waiter there. He kept looking at us when we were taking photo and continued looking when we were eating. Wth? -.- Anyway, we were complaining all the while we were eating. Lol. Can't help it. Not nice leh. And it's expensive. The taxes are high too! I am not gonna return for more. Grace was saying how good Tong Pak Fu is compared to this and she suggested us to go there next. She wants to have something really cold. Lol. And so we went. Indeed, it's wayyyyyyy betterrrrrrr~ Haha. We had grass jelly with red bean topping and matcha green tea snow ice. Nice~ I love the green tea snow ice. Similar to Snowflake's Ocha'ryo but not as strong. Tan Kok Wai came and joined us after school and ordered Today's special, coffee snow ice. They said it tasted like nescafe but it reminds me of the instant Ipoh coffee i used to have during finals. Haha. I want to go on Tuesday and try their ginger snow ice. I love ginger! I know most people don't like it. There's even an old Indian saying “Everything good is found in Ginger” and although that is somewhat of an exaggeration but ginger is really good for health okay? So, eat more. Lol. After that, we balik by Kok Wai's car.

Crunchy waffle at Wafflehour.

Yummy~

Hui Lau Shan a.k.a Healthy Desserts.

Three of us sharing =)

Mango Romance.

I love this picture! =D *that's the waiter at the back -.-*

江南四大才子之一, 唐百府 糖百府! xD

Durian ice, their latest? Grace wanted to order but i didn't want lol.

Grass jelly with red bean topping and matcha green tea snow ice. We were wondering mana grass jelly?

There it is! Aha!

Coffee snow ice. They have different series like Snowflake too.

Black and white cause he said i forced him to take =p

Continued with those cards.

Kuih puteri ayu for breakfast. ♥ kaya~

Started off my post today with a delicious kuih. Haha. Went another round to Czip Lee to get the missing materials that i needed for those thank you cards. For the inside. Used the whole afternoon to finish the cards. Now that seriously feel that those cards are too simple to express gratitude for those sponsors, i kept on thinking something more to add. Something simple that makes all the differences. If you know what i mean. Haha. Thought of replacing the rope with the gold wire thingy that tie the packet of a cookies or candies. Looks more classy for most people cause they might feel that the rope is too rough. It is. Plus it's rather hard to handle cause it's too thick. But i like it cause it adds an element to the card too. If you know what i mean. Again. It might looks more grand if i use the wire thingy but..aiks. It's hard to put my idea in words for choosing the rope instead. Anyway, done with the inside as well as the cover. The inside is worse than the cover cause it's dull. Now the cover looks so much better. More colourful, more cheerful. Zzz. At least i am done with it now. So, yay! Haha.

The gold i thought of adding.

The new cover. No difference? Haha, but it makes a huge difference to me~

Materials for the inside. Earthy.

Brown. Black. Gold. Red. White. Rather dull.

The inside. Thought of adding the MPPC logo.

Thank you tags.

More details.

Another project ;)

Done with my fourth book.

About this book. All i want to say is Budo is too selfish and self-conscious to be an imaginary friend. Worse one of all the imaginary friends i have read about. I dislike him already -.-

I almost die during yoga.
I am that stiff.
You might as well cut all my muscle fibres -.-

Those thank you cards.

25082012.
A Saturday. Went for badminton with siblings and her friends.
Onlined when i got home and checked my inbox.
A message asking me for a favour.
With a nice opening. I need to learn this! Lols.
Four thank you cards for the sponsors!
Dato' and Dr. sekalian.
Oh no was my first reaction i am sorry for being frank. Lol.
Unable to reject that's always my weakness.
Picked my phone and messaged the bf for help.
He said okay right away ♥
He appeared in front of my doorstep half an hour later.
I aimed for something simple.
Red, orange, white and brown were what i was looking for.
We searched around town for what i needed.
Up and down, in and out, we went.
We discussed and we disagreed.
We may have different opinions, that's normal.
Communication is the key, bf said.
But seems like i am always the winning party. Hehe.
Couldn't find the white with orange.
We ended up buying red with gold with much considerations.
I am afraid what i am coming up with is not good enough.
Don't expect too high from me.
I don't want to disappoint you.
So, yeah, expect the worst girl.

That evening, went to an open house.
A Malay. Uncle's customer.
I realised the differences between races are indeed very significant.
Malays are satisfied with a simple meal of nasi lemak.
That's what they served yesterday.
Bihun soup, ketupat, lemang, beef rendang, tomato chicken and fried rice.
Uncle said, there's so few varieties to choose from.
If it happened to be a chinese open house,
There'll be more than ten dishes on the table.
Seriously.
I once heard a saying that goes like this;
If an aeroplane is to have four legs, the chinese will eat it too. Lol.
That night, the bf attended an Indian's wedding dinner.
He said he's curious and anxious.
How will it be like?
The awkwardness when you don't understand the culture of another race.
But the mutton and rendang were very nice he said. Haha.
Hey, look, Malay, Indian and Chinese, this is 1 Malaysia.

White. Red. Orange. Orange.

Look at these fake doughnuts!

And some fake swiss rolls.

26082012.
A Sunday. A stay-at-home Sunday.
Had brunch with the family.
Sister was having two sessions of tuition class. I pity her.
I've started on the cards.
And i'm done with the cover.
I am not satisfied with what i've came up with.
That's not what i've expected even T.T
But i don't care.
My creative juice has coagulated. It's not flowing anymore -.-
We have Ayamas at home. Three different flavours. Wee~
Can't recall when was the last time i had Ayamas already.
Hailey's full moon's Ayamas.

This is very energy consuming. Mentally and physically.

The flowers.

Orange topped with red, topped with white.

Two layers of ribbon side by side in hope of making it looks thicker.

Hey, look at what i have =/

Dipped colour pencils in water for the effect.

Some bling bling finishing touches.

The outcome.

Silver ribbon or brown rope?

I really don't know is simple good enough.
But, i am reluctant to do more.
Lazy me! =(
