Friendship over food

First week of this new semester was all about gathering.
Gathering with uni close friends.
Gathering with coursemates.
Gathering with buddies.
Gathering with high school bffs.
And last but not least, with the childhood friend who i've known since forever.

I didn't like to plan gathering like this. Sometimes it's too difficult to find a time that suits everyone's schedule. It can be a pain in the ass thing to do. Lol.
But i love gatherings with friends. I love the companionship. Love those catching up sessions with my dearest friends.

It was supposed to be a gathering of five. Lol.

Chui Yeng! Such a lovely girl. Love talking to her :)

Aglio Olio spaghetti with oyster and shittake mushrooms at Tappers for lunch. Hao chi~

Continued chit chat session at Tous les Jours.

Have been spending alot of time on our thesis proposal. Working very hard but not smart. How i wish i can be more competent. Proposal presentation next Tuesday. Wish me luck!

With the people i love, doing what i love.

Since it's a post about Valentine's day, I'll start it off with a picture of my valentine and I. Haha. Happy Valentine's day to all!

How did we celebrate our vday?
Had lunch at Namoo, a Korean restaurant that I've been wanting to go since ages ago. Finally! Heehee. Thanks for bringing me there. We had lunch because i think dinnertime will be crowded and more expensive. Lunch or dinner, they are both the same to me anyway.

The plan was to go Publika and look for what we felt like eating on that day. Didn't thought of a plan beforehand cause if it goes wrong, my mood will be ruined for the whole day. It's the days of the month. Lol. We were searching for The Redbean Bag because i wanted to try their baked egg but we couldn't find it! It was our second time there and we tried searching for it from the directory. There's not a restaurant called by that name in the list. So i was thinking maybe they closed down already? Ya, how stupid of me. Haha. Anyway, he said he'll bring me there again for baked egg. Despite the traffic congestion on the way back, everything went smoothly. We did try to make the best out of it too. Chatted nonsense that make our stomach hurts. Some crazy fella pretended to be Chinaman and denied my Malaysian nationality.

The orange rose that smelt like tomyam. Got it from Publika. They were giving out roses for couples on that day and requested for photos. And guess what, they posted all in their Facebook page. Saw ours! =/

Thank you for the thought :)

Namoo on the park.

Green tea latte. Very milky. I like :D

My kimchi fried rice. He detests kimchi.

Namoo's must try: Rice chicken burger. The sauce that looked like chilli sauce is actually kimchi sauce and the thousand-island-looking sauce is peanut sauce. So..Asian.

Sweet potato cake. This is not a cake. They shouldn't call this a cake. Bf called it the lotus paste (those you find in mooncakes). One can never finish this alone.

He missed the candid shoot that he said i looked beautiful. Can never get that moment back he said -.-

The "cake" that i have been wanted to try ages ago! Although it's not what i've expected, i still like it :)

Look at the before..

..and after! *shivering* HAHAHA.

It's the year of horse.

If you couldn't what this is.

It's a.. What's this?

I said i don't like flowers. How about flowers made from paper money, he asked.

Short legs and short arms. Haha.

How many shots do you need to get one nice one? Blame the poser or the photographer? The latter.

Crazy fella with his crazy horse. One shot okay! Credit to the poser or the photographer? The latter.

The jam was making him sleepy. He said he can fall asleep anytime.

A simple card i made for him.

And, a photo of us to end the post too :)

The next day, we went BBW book sale cause my bookshelf can still fit another 22 books. Lol. I won preview pass for BBW 2014 year end sale. Yayyyyy!

11 books for RM55! Happy dao cannot see my eyes anymore.

Lunch. Sis tagged along too since she's never been to BBW before.

Black sesame and mango shaved ices. Didn't manage to get Mr. Bean's soy ice-cream, this will do for the time being.

Black sesame is good for your hair!

Klang one day trip

Sister and I accompanied dad to Klang to settle some issues on insurance that he purchased years ago. There was another friend of dad who tagged along. This aunty is such a chatterbox. Never stop talking once she got into the car. Met her for like 28663273829 times already. She is still her old self. Talkative! Haha. The whole thing turned out to be a Klang foodie one day trip. Good for us! Haha.

Dry bak kut teh for lunch. My first try. It didn't take like bak kut teh at all.

At the company.

Famous curry chicken pau for afternoon tea. Also in the picture are da bao, currypuff, vege pau, mui choi zhu yuk bao and yam and pork pau.

On the way back, since we're going to pass by Puchong, dad brought us to Donutes. There were more cakes and breads than the last time i was there! Ahhh, all so tempting but how to fit in my already full stomach? :( I shall just save the cakes for the next time. This particular cake called "Sahara" looks so nice. The raspberry cream cake looked good too..

Signature Donutes coffee. Not a coffee lover but this is good :)

I was expecting the custard to be creamy and flowy but it's actually dry.

Taiwan rosong the size of my face and brioche.

This looked so chewy! Resisted myself to get it the first time i was there. How could i again?
