14th May 2014 was kw's 23rd birthday.
Guess what, i totally ignored him on that very day. Ignored as in didn't reply his messages at all. Ohh, i forgot i did wish him on Facebook, Whatsapp, Instagram and through texting the first thing i woke up in the morning. Thought of staying up and drag our phone call session till 12am to wish him. Trying to pretend i was wide awake but i yawned non-stop and he found out. Mission failed. I wished him Goodnight instead of Happy birthday.
I promised to treat him cakes on his birthday because i love to see people have cakes on their birthdays! What's the point of celebrating birthdays? Eat cakes la! So, every year i insisted though he wouldn't care more. Birthday means nothing to him except he's a year older. He didn't get his cake ON his birthday since it's a Wednesday and i couldn't make myself available. I was pretty busy last week too, rushing for thesis proposal and community service proposal presentation. Set my own target to get them done by Thursday so that i can go home and celebrate with him. A day later seems way better than two/three/etc days later. My kw-diagnosed-OCD strikes again. Besides, going back on Thursday means that i've an extra day off from everything and i desperately need it cause i couldn't go home this week. My driving force to get me through the week, GONE.
How did we celebrate? Had KFC (because i wanna try the new black pepper mushroom burger), bought books at Popular (he used his vouchers to buy magazines himself and books for me, 90% are mine) and had cakes at Padi House (chose the cake that i'll like?).
Birthday cakes for the birthday boy!
The card i made for him. Die die also wanna make card although super busy and i should really be doing something else. Lol.
He hates cats but i don't care. HAHAHA.
New! Zinger remixed and black pepper mushroom SAUCE burger. I wanted to try cause i thought it was a mushroom burger. That burger was not niceee. I am not going back for more. He had to help me to finish it. I helped with zinger. My favouritest still at KFC =9
Frozen yogurt cheesecake. It's not pretty but tasted pretty good. Because we're stuffed, we need something which contains probiotics.
50% off for coffees with every purchase of cheesecake. He ordered cappuccino. Never my favourite.
Hehehe. Now i really need to get a new bookshelf!
Thursday is pasar malam day here at Sungai Chua. Mum and sis ajak me to go pasar malam once i got home. Feeling sooo full but i still went. Haha. Thought of buying my pasar-malam-must-buy butter kaya bun for breakfast the next morning. And there's this pau stall that ruined my plan.
So colourful. Every colour with different filling.
Mum was asking me do you want yours warm or cold. Warm if you want to have it now, cold if you don't (reheat yourself when you wanna eat it) and i was thinking if not eat now sure not nice already la T_T
This yam pau ruined my plan. Luckily it turned out to be yummy. Sweet filling with tiny chunks of yam and the outside tasted kinda salty but very chewy which is what i like about it.
Yam sai mai lou for bro.
Friday, 16th May 2014.
Outing with Jia Wern and Sok Man because JW is back from UMP. We went Le moon's for brunch. Well, afternoon tea for me. I dislike brunch, i like to have my breakfast and lunch separately because two is better than one. LOL. Sok Man's house after Le moon's and Levain and Pavillion to call it a day.
Helped Sok Man to measure her grassland because she wanted to dig a pond with the shape of a figure "8". So i became the architect and JW became the civic engineer for the day. Played with her cats, had lots of walnuts and raisins. Met her husband (he looks better in person than in pictures). Sok Man was flattered and she told me that was her tactic. She made him look fat in pictures so that other girls won't be interested in him. Hahaha. Still sampat like she used to be. She made me laughed till my cheek ached again. Such a contagious happy soul.
Loving the mint!
Nice ambivalence and good service but not so nice food.
My hot chocolate was pretty good though. Super rich just the way i like it :)
Trying to be artistic here.
Mocha.
Thai chicken salad. The taste was weird. The owner came and asked for feedback on the foods. She specifically asked if we can accept the taste of this dish because many customers can't and they had actually made improvements and modifications on it. JW said she still couldn't. Maybe they'll consider to replace this with another dish on the menu. She served her a small of house salad because so much was left uneaten on the plate.
Chicken burger. The patty was too salty. She said customers complained the patty was too bland before this so they had increased the marinating time. Haha. Turned out to be too salty now. She said she will look into it and try to find the best marinating time.
Cat or monkey? So playful.
Cracking and eating walnuts. Walnuts behind her husband's in China.
Love-shaped :)
Cocoball (?) and hazelnut chocolate roll.
Rainbow cake.
Crunchy almond tiramisu. Finally my craving fixed. This is so so good.
Raisin scone. Still, none beats Bread Story's. This tasted good though, just not as moist.
Sheep purse for Sok Man. Too cute!
Jason joined us for dinner at Pavillion after work and they had this pork cheek ramen at Santouka Hokkaido Ramen restaurant. Pretty good.
Went back to Sok Man's place for this after dinner. Her husband made it. He loves cooking and always stays at home to cook while Sok Man goes out to play. Untung la~ Hahaha. Added sesame seeds and wolfberries this time. I still like the one she asked me to try before this. The taste of sesame seeds is too overpowering. I couldn't taste the walnuts anymore.
