Low residue vs high fibre

In the fluid and texture modification diet lab, we are assigned to prepare:
  1. 1500 kcal/day low residue diet.
  2. 1800 kcal/day high fibre diet.
Two totally different types of diet. Foods that are restricted in low residue diet are recommended in high fibre diet.

Basically, a low residue diet is stricter than a low fibre diet where it also restricts foods that will stimulate bowel activity such as milk and dairy products, spies and caffeine. Hard meat, uncooked vegetables and fruits with skin are totally out of question.

So, i prepared koay tew soup with fishball and cooked carrot and lettuce with honey drink.

High fibre prepared by Haze. Yums~

Air Batu Campur

Retardedness overload :D

Feel so good to be home again although i only had two days of classes this week.
Midsem is approaching, i am so stressed!
It seemed like i am trying to be ignorant about it. I don't wanna face reality. I am really scared for pharmacology exam. Everyone says that it's a killer subject. Now i know how cruel it is T_T

I know he is trying hard to help me destress.
Brought me to a movie that i've been wanting to watch all the while.
Brought me to eat the food that i've been craving for since ages ago.
Got everything planned out so well. I am actually impressed this time.
Watched Insidious Chapter 2 and got all my cravings for the week fixed in a day! :D

Kimchi fried rice. Tried this finally. Heehee.

Matcha Supreme. Nothing is more perfect than a green tea and red bean combo :)

Who has teppanyaki salmon set at Ichiban Ramen when there's a Teppanyaki next door?
TAN KOK WAI. Hahaha. Just because he so felt like eating taugeh all of the sudden.

Finally, i watched it! Hehe.

Seriously, are all James Wan's productions like this? My fear just disappeared when the movie ended. And i can hardly recall the content of the movie. Lol. I am confused. I mix up all the storyline of those horror movies that i've watched already. If you ask me now what The Conjuring is about i might tell you what happened in Sinister, Insidious or even some downloaded movies that i've watched. I am not trying to say that this movie is not worth the money. It is actually not bad. Not scary but it has a good story line. I think i will go and the third one too if it's out in the cinema. By the way, this is linked to the first one. You might want to watch the first one first before watching this :D

Traditional ABC with ice-cream.

Yay! Had both Japanese and local style ABC in a day :D

Salty fettuccine!

It's alright to make mistakes :)

We did make a lot of mistakes today.
Maklumlah never try to cook this before.
Lab is on Thursday this week cause Raya Haji fell on Tuesday.
Back to Tuesday for the next lab. I suddenly feel that they are to near to each other!

Attending a GDM case for this lab.

Mrs. AM is a 32 year old Sarawakian pregnant woman G2P0+1 who is diagnosed with GDM. She has gained about 17kg in her last trimester. The doctors have prescribed her with Insulin due to uncontrolled blood sugar. She is works as a Cashier at Giant which is 10 minutes away from her home.
Pre pregnancy weight: 88kg     Ht:175cm

Because she was overweight before pregnancy.
Because she is gaining six kgs more than the recommended weight gain for the third trimester.
Because she has GDM.
Because she is pregnant.
Because she is a Sarawakian.
We came up with the menu like this.

Apparently, i googled dishes served specially in Sarawak and includes them in all the main meals. Dishes that i have never heard of before this. Forget about trying. Now i have to cook it solely based on the recipe i have found online. Stress!

What i've planned to cook for lunch was Sarawak tomato fettuccine.
The original dish is called Sarawak tomato koay tew.
I substituted the koay tew with fettuccine because fettuccine is a low GI food.
I was trying to include foods that have low GI in my menu planning but it seemed like they weren't appreciated. Lol.

Anyway, i am still going to talk about my fettuccine.
The ingredients that we used were so many this time. They filled up an A4 paper.
And we have to cook them in three separate rounds.

1. Cook the fettucine and when it's cooked, stir fry it in a wok with sweet soy sauce. Set aside.

2. Stir fry some minced garlic in another wok and add in carrot and later fishcake and choy sam. Set aside.

3. Stir fry the remaining garlic, add in prawn and cuttlefish. Add in the chicken stock and all the seasoning (tomato sause, oyster sauce, sesame oil, sugar, sweet soy sauce, and etc.). Lastly add in corn flour diluted in water.

And taadaa..! This is unbelievably yummy :D Too salty though. Haha.

Gooddd~ *two thumbs up*

Fluid and texture modified diet next week.
Mine are 1500kcal low residue diet and 1800 kcal high fiber diet.
We are getting two cases too just because some groups get some pretty simple ones.

Funfair!

Visited Asia Fun Park after dinner last night.
Cause it's been ages since we went to one. This is so random. Haha.
Strolled around to actually help our digestion since we had a pretty late heavy dinner.
This fun fair was big. A lot of exciting rides. A lot of youngsters all dolled up with make ups!
How come i never date at a funfair before? Lol.
We didn't take any of the rides though. Too stuffed. Confirm vomit later x)
Funfairs make me think of Final Destination~~

The Ferris Wheel.

They have the swing thingy like Genting's too!

This is a must have.

Some of the games.

The reason we can't take any ride. Hahaha. Had nyonya steamed fish too! Yums.

Ending this random post with the picture of a haunted house. It was air-conditioned with two air-conds!

It looks much more eerier after editing. Haha.

Lovely weekend with lovelies ♥

It's weekend! ♥
I endured another hectic week. Oh yeah~
Finally a break after some tough weeks. It's Hari Raya Haji.
Spent my Saturday with bf :)
We had afternoon tea at House @ G tower.
My treat! Hehe. This could only happen once in a blue moon. He always ends up paying for the food although i say i wanna treat him. He just doesn't let me to do so although he is always complaining that he is broke. Haha.
I bought the deal on Living Social so long ago. RM29 for the afternoon tea set and 40% off for all beverages except alcohols.
Suffered from diarrhea the night before probably because of the chilli pan mee i had plus ice-cream after that.
I think i lost a kg from that! Cause my weight dropped a kg when i weighed myself the next day.
So i am eating like crazy to compensate that.

Ohhh, before everything else, i want to say thank you for driving me around. Always feel bad for turning you into my part time driver :(

House @ G Tower.

I wanna sit on the sofas.

It's a nice place to chill :)

Big fat legs look slim here. Deceiving mirror!

I even wore a dress there. And it felt so tight after eating. HAHAHA.

Purposely asked him to bring his camera too.

Alright, time for some foodie pictures!
The foods were actually quite good especially the cheesecake and i love the smoothies! :D

Taadaa! The ultimate three tiers afternoon tea set. Lol.

Tak sabar-sabar wanna dig in x)

I think we should start from the bottom? My first bite was the cheesecake though. The blueberry just looked too tempting.

Okay, food pictures close up.

On the carby tier:
Four slices of sandwiches with two different types of filling which is the tuna and ham.
Tuna with toasted multigrains bread as its base while all the tomatoes, tuna and slices of hard boiled egg lying right on top of each other and topped with alfafa sprouts.
Ham with plain toated white bread and topped with sun dried tomatoes?
These are yummy~

Second tier: Sconessss
I have a thing for scones. They were not up to my expectation though :/

With unsalted butter and four different types of fruity jams.

Top tier: Sweet desserts
Blueberry cheesecake, chocolate dipped strawberries, chocolate nutty clusters and chocolate chips cookies.
Everything on this plate was delicious except the strawberries.

Berries booster!
Strawberry, bluebbery, cranberries, all the berries!
I love this soo soo much! :D

Green it.
Kiwi, pineapple, passion fruit and apple syrup. I think there's soda water too.
He said it tasted artificial. I felt it was okay. There's this blue coloured drink on the menu and i almost ordered that cause it was BLUE. I think that will taste more artificial.
Like always, he let me choose the flavour. He wants me to try everything i want and if i don't like them, he'll be the bandaraya. Haha ♥

The lighting was kinda dim. That is what makes the ambiance so good i know but i wanna take nice shots of foods :( Obviously i have to filter the pictures i took. Made all my pimples look more obvious >.<

This was taken with his camera though. Still dark.

The person in the picture doesn't look like me cause she is pretty, he said >.<

Wanna catch a movie at 3:30pm. We thought we could make it. Too bad la although i felt like watching movie badly. Insidious Chapter 2~ Nevermind lah, still i had a great day shopping with him :) Did some market survey on the babies' foods available in the market. One of our assignments. But i didn't want to buy them and try like what the lecturer asked us to do. They are expensive okay. So i just bought what i want to eat. Haha. Ohh, we went Mines and Jusco Mahkota Cheras. Yes, we were exhausted.

I just love berries~

How come he always buy unhealthy foods when he goes groceries shopping with me?

Babies have everything.

EVERYTHING! Freaking expensive somemore.

Bought a fake Rayban for bro. He has been wanting one cause Captain Koo has a pretty cool pair too! Haha.

Dad has to work this Sunday. No nice foods for breakfast. Sad.
Happy shopping day with mum and sis at Jusco Cheras Selatan nevertheless :D
Sis was back from matrics for Haji holiday.
Bought books, clothes, facial products and most importantly, my snacks. Wahaha~

Can you guess which three are my choices? Haha.

Kok Wai told me he's gonna attend his aunt's dobby shop's opening and i saw this card at Popular!

Tried this out. Passion fruit ♥

First time shopping at The Face Shop. Mum bought so many!
Sis and I bought all the masks. Buy 5 free 5!

New packaging or? Local customer like me must buy also although i haven't finish the one i bought last time. Haha.

Have been wanting to try this for so long already. Finally! Love at first bite ya? It did bring back childhood memories though~

[I just wanna say THANK YOU ♥ from the bottom of my heart for everything you've done for me.] You know how grateful i am for having you by my side although i never actually thank you in person. You know i am not that expressive emotional kind of girl. Well, if you considerate the fact that i cry a lot as being emotional, then i am just not expressive. Haha. I realised i haha too much. Hahaha.
